The upper is traditionally sewn to the sole with cotton thread, but after thorough quality checks, we found that cotton thread lacked the durability we wanted. So, we switched to nylon thread for a stronger, more resilient construction, ensuring that your beige espadrilles last longer without coming apart prematurely.
More Sustainable Fashion
We’ve made a commitment to design all our espadrilles in their homeland. Our beige espadrilles are handcrafted in the Basque Country, a region known for its centuries-old artisanal expertise. Local production also helps us reduce our environmental footprint.
To further promote sustainability, we encourage our customers to return their old espadrilles to us once they’ve reached the end of their life. We will recycle each element: jute will be repurposed as insulation, rubber will be used to make gym mats, and cotton will be transformed into new fabrics. This initiative helps strengthen the bond between consumer and product while promoting a circular economy.
