It was during an improvised workshop with her children, on a rainy day in July 2011, that the first Alex HACKETT paper flower was born. This innovative concept was destined for unprecedented success!
The first floral collection in high-end paper was made in 2012. The following year, Alex participated in the international Maison et Objet show in Paris and this time again, the trained eyes came alive around the designer's creations.
The collections of hand-shaped flowers decorated with luxurious papers unearthed all over the world (Nepal, Bhutan, Japan, Philippines, etc.) quickly attracted orders from prestigious houses such as Casa Palacio (Palacio de Hierro), 12 of the brand's department stores in Mexico, or Swarowski Optik for the decoration of 100 stores around the world. The Musée Maillol in Paris and Les Carrières des Lumières in Les Baux-de-Provence will also call on the eloquence of Alex HACKETT flowers for the creation of assortments in the colours of exhibitions devoted to MONET and VAN GOGH. Not to mention the famous haute couture house Christian DIOR, who called on us to embellish the windows of their boutiques in Paris (Avenue Montaigne) and London (New Bond Street), a meticulous and expert creation of a total of 2,200 porcelain flowers, each entirely handmade. Decoration brands such as "Fany Bolen interior" in the United States, "Materia Casa" in Japan or "Scène D'Intérieur" in Luxembourg now distribute Alex HACKETT's creations...
The Alex HACKETT range is further enriched with small group craft workshops in its premises in Castries (Hérault – France) and the brand new concept of high-end craft boxes (Box Craft DIY) intended to create pretty flower and/or butterfly decorations in delicate papers yourself. Tutorials for personal creations are already designed to delight you...
