L'Abricot - Liqueur Domaine Roulot

About the Domaine: Domaine Roulot is based in Meursault, owning 11 hectares of the best white wine appellations (like Domaine Comte Lafon and Domaine Coche Dury). Jean Marc Roulot took over his father in 1989 and decided to go fully biodynamic first and then organic in 2000. He is well known by his peers to control a low yield, with very little intervention during the 'elevage' process. His wines are recognised to be pure, fresh and a fine minerality. A few years ago, he decided to make liquors (Apricot, Pear, Raspberry and from 2021, Lemon). The Apricot liquor is coming from apricots sourced in an organic farm in the Rhone Valley (25km from Avignon), a rare species called "La Rouge du Roussillon". 

Elevage : This liquor comes from a fermentation of organic apricots and then it's been distilled to get this delicious liquor.  

Tasting notes: Intense aromas of apricots, combined with spicy notes. There is a pleasant suaveness on the palate that balances out the alcohol. 

Region/Appellation: France - Burgundy - Cote de Beaune. 

Best before: It's a liquor, so you can keep it as long as it lasts. 

Volume/ Bottle size: 50cl. 

Alcohol % : 25%.

Store the Abricot bottle in your wine cellar. When you want to have a glass, choose a small and narrow glass, put 1 or 2 ice cubes and poor the liquor in your glass. Food pairing: With any type of deserts or at the end of a meal.
